The state enterprise National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom, 100% of the shares of which belongs to the state, has become a joint-stock company. “The state registration of the joint stock company NNEGC Energoatom took place today,” he said.
Yakob added that the company’s Charter, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers resolution on corporatization of Energoatom dated December 29, 2023.
“We are moving to a completely new stage in the development of nuclear energy in Ukraine – the introduction of international corporate governance standards at Energoatom,” added Jacob.

The “Ministry of Finance” wrote that on December 29, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to transform the state enterprise NNEGC Energoatom into a joint stock company.
The plan for turning Energoatom into a joint stock company was approved Government Decree No. 571-r dated June 27, 2023. The process should be completed by March 2024.
Energoatom is the operator of all four nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Operates Zaporozhye, South Ukrainian, Rivne and Khmelnitsky stations with 15 power units.
