The State Property Fund plans to put up the Ukraine Hotel in Kyiv for privatization. The head of the State Property Fund, Vitaly Koval, announced this on his Facebook page.

“Visited a state enterprise, which is under the jurisdiction of the State Property Fund. Six conference rooms, meeting rooms and a stock of 363 rooms. Hotel “Ukraine” is working and will continue to work,” Koval noted.
Due to the state of war, the hotel is underfilled, but an average of 15 conferences are held here every month. Guests are offered halls that can accommodate from 10 to 250 people. There is a shelter with a separate auditorium for events for 50 people. There is also a parking lot for 80 cars.
“At the same time, the hotel has accumulated more than 45 million UAH of debt. Therefore, the Fund’s plans include its privatization,” Koval shared.
He emphasized that the task of the State Property Fund is to ensure that any enterprise under its management is profitable or finds a new effective owner.
“In times of war, the internal reserves of the state must be used. And privatization is an income to the budget from which the Defense Forces are financed. And also jobs, new opportunities for creating businesses and developing territories,” added Koval.
