At the end of 2023, almost 61 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Ukraine for an amount of more than UAH 105.5 billion. This was reported by the Ukravtoprom association.

It is noted that legal entities spent more than UAH 34.3 billion on the purchase of new cars, and individuals – about 71.2 billion UAH.
Which cars did Ukrainians spend more on?
More money from this amount was spent on the purchase of Toyota cars – 16.4 billion UAH. The most popular car of this brand was the Toyota RAV-4 crossover. During the year, 2,934 cars of this model were registered.
In second place is BMW. The Bavarians spent 13.7 billion UAH on cars. The leader of the brand was the BMW X5 (986 units).
Sales of Mercedes-Benz cars are estimated at UAH 10.9 billion, and this is the third result. Its best seller was the Mercedes-Benz GLE (1,061 units).
Volkswagen took fourth place with UAH 8.9 billion. The brand's hit is the Volkswagen ID.4 (2,655 units).
Skoda closes the top five – UAH 5.7 billion. The greatest demand was for the Skoda Kodiaq (1,307 units).

The Ministry of Finance wrote that over the past year, Ukrainians purchased almost 28.6 thousand used cars from the United States. This represents 13.3% of all used cars registered for the first time in 2023.
