Customs revealed violations amounting to more than 2.1 billion hryvnia in January

In January 2024, 730 violations of customs rules were identified with a value of over UAH 2.1 billion. The cost has increased almost 10 times compared to the same period last year. This is stated in the message of the Customs.

Items of offenses worth almost UAH 9 million were seized. In particular:

    industrial goods worth UAH 3 million; food products for UAH 3 million; vehicles for UAH 3 million.

Customs directly examined 253 cases of violation of customs rules, an administrative penalty was applied in the form of a fine in the amount of UAH 3 million, fines were collected in the amount of UAH 6 million.

Customs sent 396 cases of violation of customs rules in the amount of UAH 200 million to the court for consideration.

p>Based on the results of consideration of cases of violation of customs rules, the court made 420 decisions to impose penalties in the form of fines and confiscation for a total amount of UAH 93 million (confiscation – UAH 47.5 million, fines – UAH 45.3 million).
