Toyota still dominates the ranking of the most popular car brands last year. The Japanese leader has been ranked first for 14 years in a row. However, BYD rose to 9th place as a rising star. Focus2move reports this.

Top 10 best-selling brands
In 2023, Toyota sold 9.07 million vehicles, which is 1.5 million below the historical record, but 4. 1% more than in the previous year.
In second place is Volkswagen, occupying 6.0% of the global market, having sold 5.1 million vehicles (+7.0%).
In third place is Honda with 3.9 million cars sold (+3.7%).
In fourth place is Hyundai, which sold 3.8 million (+5.5%)
In fifth place is Ford with 3.7 million cars (+4.4%).
In sixth place is Nissan with 3.3 million cars (+8.5%).
