Grain association assessment
According to UZA, under such conditions, exports in the new season 2024/2025 could amount to about 43.7 million tons, and exports of grains and oilseeds in the current season could reach 53.1 million tons of grains and oilseeds with the unhindered operation of the Ukrainian sea corridor and the Danube port .
This year's wheat harvest is forecast at 20 million tons, which is 2 million tons less than in the previous season. Potential wheat exports in 2024/2025 could amount to about 13 million tons, taking into account the fact that at the beginning of the season the transition balances will amount to 2.4 million tons.
The barley harvest in 2024, according to UZA estimates, could be 4.6 million tons. In 2023 there were 5.8 million tons. And potential exports in 2024/2025 can be expected at about 2 million tons.
UZA estimates the corn harvest forecast at 26.3 million tons, which is 3 million tons less than last year – 29 .6 million tons. At the same time, potential exports could amount to about 20.5 million tons.
But the rapeseed harvest can be expected at 4.2 million tons, which is slightly less than in 2023 – 4.3 million tons. At the same time, exports in 2024/2025 MY may amount to 3.6 million tons, as in the current season.
According to UZA experts, soybean is almost the only crop , under which farmers can increase the area due to its profitability this year.
The soybean harvest can be expected in 2024 at the level of 5.5 million tons (in 2023 – 4.9 million tons). Potential exports in 2024/2025 MY could amount to 4 million tons (in the current season it is expected to be 3.3 million tons).
