The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) of the US Federal Reserve System kept the interest rate on federal funds rate at the same level – in the range of 5.25-5.5%, the FOMC reported.

This decision was made unanimously by all committee members and coincided with the expectations of most analysts and economists.
The rate has been held at this level since July 2023 last year.
