In 2024, the number of online purchases on Ukrainian websites made from cards of Ukrainians abroad increased. This is evidenced by data from the online payment service WayForPay.

The leadership in the number of purchases on the Internet on Ukrainian websites with the cards of our
citizens has been held for several years in a row:
- Germany with a share of 29% of the total number of purchases from abroad in Ukraine Poland with a share of 24.6% Czech Republic with a share of 9.6%.
Although the share of Poland remains significant, the number of purchases from this country is decreasing, while from Germany and the Czech Republic, on the contrary, is growing.
Also, a share of more than 3% in the total number of purchases by Ukrainians from European countries on domestic sites is occupied by: UK (6.4%) Spain (4.8%) Italy (4.4%) The Netherlands (3. 5%).
The smallest number of purchases (share less than 3%) are made from Hungary, Ireland, Slovakia, Switzerland, Belgium, Finland, Estonia, France and Romania.
According to market participants, the amount of goods and services purchased in Ukraine on the Internet during 2023 increased by 21%. Every tenth purchase is made online and this is far from the ceiling of e-commerce possibilities, according to WayForPay.
According to the service, payments by Ukrainians in 2024 have increased more than at present:
- from the Netherlands – by 44.5%, from Hungary – by 19.50%, from Great Britain – by 18.80%.
