Ukraine became the second a country in the world with which the UK has signed a Digital Trade Agreement. The first such country was Singapore, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reported.
The document is designed to deepen Ukraine’s involvement in global supply chains, will promote the development of small and medium-sized businesses, and will also reduce barriers to participation in global digital trade.< /p>
“The entry into force of the Agreement on Digital Trade between Ukraine and the UK will help reduce the cost of trade administration through the introduction of digital solutions and technologies, the use of electronic digital signatures, electronic contracts and accounts for international trade. It establishes the basic rules for trade in digital goods and services between states,” noted the head of the ministry Yulia Sviridenko.
The agreement is the legal foundation for the development of the digital economy – from e-commerce to cybersecurity – trade in digital products and services between Ukraine and Great Britain.
