The US Department of the Treasury has authorized transactions with Russian banks, including VTB, Central Bank, Sberbank and Alfa Bank, for settlements in the energy sector until November 1, 2024. Radio Liberty writes about this with a link to a license from the US Treasury.

Among the banks that have received a temporary license , banks Otkritie, Sovcombank, Rosbank, VEB.RF, Bank Zenit and Bank St. Petersburg are also named.
The ministry’s resolution explained that transactions related to production can be considered energy-related , production, processing, liquefaction, transportation or purchase of oil and a number of other energy resources, including LNG, wood, coal and uranium.
The license also allows transactions with Russian banks related to the production, supply or exchange of energy by any means .
