The consumer price index in June 2024 accelerated in annual terms from 3.3% to 4.8%. This is evidenced by State Statistics Service data.

Over the last three months this figure remained almost unchanged and amounted to 3.2−3.3%. The sharp increase in June is associated with an increase in electricity tariffs by 63.6%.
Also in June, prices for railway passenger transport and certain products increased. Most of all – eggs (15.5% against May).
In monthly terms, inflation accelerated almost four times – from 0.6% in May to 2.2% in June. Since the beginning of the year it has been 4.3%.
Core inflation in June 2024 versus May 2024 amounted to 0.5%, since the beginning of the year – 3.3%.
