The American company Buy Me a Coffee has updated its rules and is no longer providing full service to users from Ukraine. This was reported on social networks by Ukrainians who encountered problems with withdrawing funds, writes dev.ua.

In response to the difficulties with the withdrawal of collected funds, the service's technical support service explained that they will no longer service Ukrainian accounts due to the fact that “20% of Ukraine’s territory is subject to sanctions.”
“Due to recent changes in policy and the increasing complexity of legal requirements and sanctions, we are no longer accepting new (content, — ed.) creators from Ukraine. We understand that this may be disappointing to you and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” said a Buy Me a Coffee representative.
According to her, this decision was due to various factors, in particular, “the need to meet strict compliance standards.”
“Since approximately 20% of Ukraine’s territory is subject to sanctions, it has become very difficult to accurately verify and control locations, which creates significant risks of errors,” Buy Me a Coffee technical support explains.
Buy Me a Coffee has become one of the most popular platforms for collecting donations after the scandal with the Patreon service, which blocked the accounts of the Come Back Alive foundation, and subsequently the volunteer and activist Sergey Sternenko, explaining that the inadmissibility of “financing military targets.”
