The Danish government has announced the introduction of a new state guarantee, according to which the state, through the Danish Export Investment Fund (EIFO), will cover a total of 1 billion Danish kroner (130 million euros), or up to 70% of investments by Danish companies in Ukrainian defense enterprises.

“Denmark is mitigating the risks of Danish companies investing in the Ukrainian defense industry. For Danish manufacturers, this is an opportunity to attract Ukrainian experience, innovations, and the ability to test weapons in real combat conditions,” Sviridenko noted.

According to her, EIFO is well known to Danish businesses, since this instrument is already actively supporting both their own country’s businesses and Ukrainian ones.

In particular, companies are offered:

Export credit guarantees – reducing risks of exports to Ukraine by covering possible payment defaults; Direct lending – providing loans to Ukrainian buyers of Danish goods and services; Investment capital – facilitating the expansion of Danish companies in Ukraine.
