Twice a year – in March and August – for households in which the average monthly total income has decreased or increased by more than 50%, the Pension Fund authorities recalculate the amount of the assigned housing subsidy within the established period of its assignment.
Such recalculation is carried out automatically, without any request from citizens.
When recalculating payments from March 2025, the average monthly total income is taken into account for the third and fourth quarters of 2024, which is compared with the income for the first and second quarters of 2024 (it was for this period that income was taken into account when calculating the housing subsidy for the heating season).
If the comparison shows that income has changed by more than 50% up or down, the amount of the housing subsidy is revised.
Thus, for households whose income has decreased/increased by more than 50%, the amount of housing subsidy will change from March: it will either increase or decrease.
Let us recall
“Minfin” wrote that the Cabinet of Ministers changed the methodology for calculating the average monthly total family income for the purpose of assigning all types of state social assistance. The relevant changes were approved by Cabinet Resolution No. 303 of March 18.
