As of Tuesday, January 2, the regulator set the official dollar exchange rate at 38.01 hryvnia per dollar. The hryvnia weakened by one kopeck compared to January 1.
The official exchange rate on Monday was 38.00 hryvnia per dollar. On the cash market, the rate fell by three kopecks — up to 37.92 hryvnia per dollar. On Tuesday, the official hryvnia to euro exchange rate was set at 42.00. On Monday, January 1, the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro was 41.99.
It is worth noting that the official dollar exchange rate has increased by 4.5% since the beginning of December from 36.38 to 38.00 hryvnia per dollar . According to analysts, the situation on the foreign exchange market in January is difficult to predict, because the exchange rate will depend on whether partners provide macro-financial assistance to Ukraine, as well as on the balance of supply and demand for the currency.
Experts assume minor fluctuations in the exchange rate, however, the exchange rate limits will not change significantly.
