Ex-speaker of the General Staff Vladislav Seleznev said that in the event of the capture of Marinka, the Russians could develop an offensive on Ugledar or Kurakhovo and Pokrovsk in order to reach Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
However, in his opinion, after Marinka, the Russian army will not be able to quickly break through further, because the invaders suffered heavy losses there.
«I think it is more important for them to move from Marinka to Ugledar, to ensure constant railway communication in the Volnovakha area,” he said.
At the same time, Seleznev does not exclude that the occupiers may split – some will go in the direction of Kurakhovo and Pokrovsk .
«It is now unclear how the enemy will act. But it is quite possible that they want to attack Slavyansk and Kramatorsk in a coordinated manner from the south, north and east,” the expert believes.
