The head of the Avdeevka city military administration, Vitaly Barabash, said that the occupiers have been actively storming Avdeevka, Donetsk region, in recent days. He noted that their goal is to capture the city.
However, Barabash emphasized, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hold positions on this front line. He said that just air bombing strikes by the Russians on the territory of the community — dozens per day, and on average the number of shellings in the city is 50 per day.
«Recently, there have been more enemy attacks on civilian infrastructure, in particular, «arrivals» on residential high-rise buildings, as a result of which houses were destroyed. Until now, more than a thousand local residents remain in the city. Their lives are under threat around the clock. Civilians in Avdeevka die under shelling almost every day», — noted the head of the Avdiivka city military administration.
He called on local residents to continue evacuating, since enemy attacks on the village do not subside.
