«PrivatBank» blocked the account of one of the clients because he ignored the request to update personal data. The financial institution assures that it acted exclusively within the framework of the current legislation and in accordance with the regulations of the National Bank of Ukraine.
«December 27 in «Privat24» A pop-up message appeared that you need to update your data and a “Remind me later” button. Of course, there was no deadline for when this had to be done. It was not possible to update via Diya (an error occurred). I decided to go to the department in the New Year and undergo this update. But on January 1, Privat wished a Happy New Year by unilaterally terminating the contract without the opportunity to appeal this decision», — the client complained.
According to the client, the bank unilaterally decided to terminate the contract. The user cannot appeal this decision. In turn, the financial institution explained that the bank is obliged to update the data and if the client refuses to do this, the bank can terminate the agreement.
«When terminating business relationship, it is possible to transfer balances to another bank. To transfer your funds to your accounts, you or your representative must contact any bank branch», — noted at the bank.
