This time they came up with a new fake about the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. Russian propagandists spread information that the general, after rumors of his resignation, was allegedly preparing a «coup» with the participation of the military.
In particular, a video appeared on the network that General Zaluzhny, after the news of his resignation, called on the Defense Forces to stage a demarche on Kyiv and seize power. This video message was distributed by Telegram channels with pro-Kremlin rhetoric.
«In fact, the video fake was generated by propaganda using artificial intelligence, and Zaluzhny’s appeal was taken as a basis on the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 6, 2023 — in the original video they changed the color scheme and blurred the background», — explained at the Center.
In addition, there is no such video on Zaluzhny’s official or personal page.
