At the time of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Black Sea Fleet consisted of about 80 combat units. The speaker of the Ukrainian Navy said that the Defense Forces have already inflicted significant losses on the Russian fleet.
According to a Navy representative, among those about 80 combat units in the Black Sea Fleet, 30-35 — these are units with «serious weapons», for example, large landing ships, submarines, patrol ships, minelayers and the like.
He noted that at the moment, 25 combatants have already been destroyed units of the Black Sea Fleet, and 15 — have significant damage and are under repair.
«That is, as a percentage this is already quite significant. However, they have connections with other waters — with the Caspian flotilla, they can also use inland waters even from the Baltic to pull something like the same missile boats», — he explained, but added that this would not make sense.
