The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested in absentia for two months the former freelance adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Alexei Arestovich on two charges.

As Russian media note, Arestovich is accused of «public appeals to terrorist activities and the dissemination of deliberately false information about the armed forces of the Russian Federation». He has also been put on the international wanted list.

«The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to Alexey Arestovich for a period of 2 months from the date of his actual detention, and in case of extradition or deportation to the territory of the Russian Federation — from the moment of its transfer to law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation», — says the court statement.

It is worth noting that in May 2023, Rosfinmonitoring included Arestovich in the «list of terrorists and extremists». And before that, Russian collaborators in the Donetsk region opened a «criminal case» to Arestovich. It concerned «calls for extremist activities».

Recall that it was previously reported that Egypt issued an ultimatum to Israel: what warnings were sent to Tel Aviv.
