Global warming leads to an increase in the average air temperature on the planet, as well as a change in the length of the seasons.

In particular, the summer period is becoming longer, and winter is becoming shorter and less severe. Experts say similar changes will continue to occur in the future. Such trends are typical for all scenarios, however, depending on the scenario, the intensity of these changes may be different.
In turn, Vera Balabukh, head of the department of applied meteorology and climatology of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Institute of the State Emergency Service and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, said that the length of summer will change in Ukraine as well.
“In the next 20 years, the duration of summer in the vast majority of Ukraine may increase by a week, according to another scenario — by two weeks compared to the beginning of the century. In the middle of the century, summer could last two to three weeks longer and almost a month under a different scenario,” — predicted by Vera Balabukh.
