In March 2024, mobilization processes will continue in Ukraine, as a result of which citizens liable for military service will receive summonses for military service.
This information was reported by the PRO resource, URA-Inform reports.
However, there are several categories of men who are subject to conscription into the army, undergo military training and then are sent to the front.
Since the new bill regarding changes in mobilization processes has not yet been adopted in Ukraine, employees of Territorial Recruitment Centers will be guided by the current legislation during the mobilization processes.
According to current regulations, the following are considered liable for military service:
- male persons aged 18 to 27 years with combat experience;
- male persons aged 27 to 60 years with or without combat experience;
- male persons previously deregistered if the reason for deregistration is no longer relevant;
- male persons recognized as unfit in peacetime and limitedly suitable in wartime;
- male persons excluded from military registration , but not convicted of serious crimes.
However, there is a significant number of men in Ukraine who are not subject to conscription. These are mostly men aged 18 to 27 years without military service experience. Such citizens can join the Armed Forces of Ukraine only of their own free will.
