Actor Alexander Feklistov, known for his role in the popular TV series «Matchmakers», spoke about his decision to leave Russia, the aggressor country. After he openly expressed his opposition to the bloody war in Ukraine, started by his own country, performances with the actor’s participation began to be canceled en masse.
At the beginning of a full-scale war, Feklistov decided to stay in Moscow, believing that he had and the audience have a special connection. However, faced with mass cancellations of performances, he decided to move to Spain, where he currently lives. At the moment, the actor has no specific plans to return to the Russian Federation.
«My dear Ukrainian colleagues! Who I worked with, who remembers me. I want to express words of solidarity to you. We here in Russia, of course, feel incredible shame in connection with what happened. But these are all trifles compared to what Ukraine is suffering now,” the artist wrote on his social networks in 2022.
