People's Deputy from the faction «European Solidarity» Irina Gerashchenko stated that the Verkhovna Rada has launched the procedure for the dissolution of the Zaporozhye Regional Council

The decision was made on the proposal of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. It is noted that on Thursday, March 21, the Verkhovna Rada transferred the powers of the Zaporozhye regional council to the regional military administration (OVA).
«VR adopted a resolution on the implementation The Zaporozhye Regional Military Administration exercised the powers provided for by the law on the legal regime of martial law, launching the dissolution of the Zaporozhye Regional Council», — she said.
We believe that this decision “creates a precedent for the dissolution of local councils in territories that were not occupied and the transfer of their powers to the CAA.”

Gerashchenko emphasized that it is necessary to stop the “powers of collaborators and corrupt officials in the Zaporozhye Regional Council and reboot its work through new respectable deputies.”
