According to NATO, the Russian side is capable of recruiting approximately 30 thousand additional troops monthly to compensate for losses and maintain offensive operations. Mention was also made of Putin's recently signed decree on military conscription.
«In my opinion, Putin is currently inclined to postpone any other large-scale mobilization activities that go beyond the usual. He has many internal problems that need to be addressed, and with the post-election period in mind, he needs to continue to show strength and confidence», — noted the journalists' interlocutor.
Taking this into account, in his opinion, «the usual recruitment cycle should be sufficient for now».
