The Ministry of Strategic Industries and the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the launch of the «Iron Test Site».
This information was reported by Suspilne, URA-Inform reports.
Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrei Lebedenko said that the goal of the joint project called «Iron Range» is to support domestic weapons manufacturers and reduce their production time.
« We want to create this test site that will allow the manufacturer to gain access to a professional assessment of his product, guide him with the methodology of all tests, provide him with a platform and appropriate means for assessing the characteristics of certain products, and provide assistance in preparing documents», — he explained.
Lebedenko noted that the previously existing system was more complex and required more procedures. In addition, access to testing grounds where weapons could be tested was more closed to domestic manufacturers. According to him, the new procedure will reduce the production time of new weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that it is planned to launch the «Iron Range» in three directions:
— robotic systems;
— drones;
— electronic warfare systems.
At the same time, Lebedenko added that they should all be operational within a month.
«Any manufacturer at any stage of production of his sample has the opportunity to contact the Armed Forces of Ukraine and receive the time and date when he can arrive at the test site with his sample», — he said.
Recall that it was previously reported that he might try to storm Kharkov: the FT announced a large-scale offensive by the Russian Federation.
