A message appeared in Telegram channels that the security forces are considering the idea of creating a separate large unit that will search for and deliver draft dodgers to the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TCS).
They also started circulating online rumors that the military has contacted the Office of the President with a request to provide support in the creation of such a unit in the National Police.
In turn, official sources in the National Police clarified that their structure is currently holding meetings to discuss the issue of providing police assistance to TCC employees. The issue of creating a separate division has not yet been confirmed and requires additional discussions.
&# 171;But we note that the police do not issue summonses. We are involved in the search for evaders, but this is not done by a specially created unit. By the way, we are not talking about him,” the National Police reported.
At the same time, the security forces add that today the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief is taking place.
«It is possible that today the issue of helping the police in this matter will be discussed. What the decision will be will be communicated,” said law enforcement officers.
At the same time, lawyer Rostislav Kravets believes that the global involvement of the police in the search for evaders will harm the detection of other, more serious, cases. crimes.
«I think this is a dead end when effort and money will be spent on this. The state is thus trying to demonstrate the presence of its repressive apparatus, with the help of which they want to carry out mobilization. This can make the situation worse. Creating a separate unit will not improve mobilization and the situation with military registration. Once again it may raise the level of social tension».
