Sergei Shoigu, Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, announced a «clear and undoubted» date of completion of the so-called «Special Military Operation» (SVO) in Ukraine.
This information was reported by Donpress, reports URA-Inform.
According to him, the so-called «SVO» will end in November-December 2024.
“I can name a clear and undoubted date for completion of the SVO – November-December of this year. And no amount of American assistance will help the enemy. I am sure of this,” the resource quotes Shoigu’s statement with reference to a source from the close circle of the Russian minister.
This statement caused some disagreement with the opinion of the head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, who claims that the so-called «special operation» may continue for another three to four years. Also, the Russian Ministry of Defense has doubts about the completion of the so-called SVO this year.
< p>«Sergei Kuzhugetovich has some calculations and thoughts of his own. I don’t know how we will finish the SVO this year. After all, serious offensive operations are being planned,” — said one of Shoigu’s deputies.
Gerasimov’s entourage, in response to a request to comment on the minister’s words about the timing of the completion of the SVO, laughed, clarifying that this was “laughter through tears.”
We recall that it was previously reported when the war in Ukraine will end: the political scientist honestly admitted what needs to be prepared for.
