Russian propagandist and former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Karnaukhov called on the country’s leadership to launch an invasion of Georgia, accusing “traitors” of the country and The United States is organizing large-scale demonstrations in Tbilisi.
This information was reported by Cursorinfo, URA-Inform reports.
According to him, the purpose of the protests is to allegedly overthrow the current president of Georgia and unleash “military aggression” against Ossetia and Abkhazia. At the same time, Karnukhov stated that Russia should help Georgia in “cleansing the country” of “pro-American forces.”
It is worth noting that the Georgian parliament adopted the bill “On Transparency of Foreign Influence,” which introduces the status of “foreign agents” for organizations financed and controlled from abroad, similar to the law in force in the Russian Federation.
This step caused discontent among the population and became the reason for protests in Tbilisi, accompanied by clashes with the police. Despite this, the Georgian parliament passed the law in the second reading, which only increased tension in the country.
Thousands of Georgians took to the streets, blocking exits from parliament and trying to storm the building. The police used water cannons and rubber bullets against the protesters, exacerbating the conflict situation in the country.
We recall that it was previously reported that the Russian Federation hit Novaya Poshta: it is known how many parcels were burned and whether the staff survived.
