With a new decree, Speaker of Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk opened access for journalists to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine under martial law.

According to the report, journalists were given the opportunity to cover the work of the Ukrainian parliament directly from its halls.
Within the framework of the approved The provisions “On the accreditation of media at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation for the period of martial law in Ukraine” provide for certain mechanisms and rules for the work of journalists.
Earlier, Ruslan Stefanchuk and the head of the parliamentary apparatus, Vyacheslav Shtuchny, held a meeting with representatives of the media, where they acquainted them with the peculiarities of work in the press center, including the procedures in the event of an air raid warning.
We would like to remind you that after the outbreak of hostilities, journalists were denied access to the Verkhovna Rada, and the broadcast of parliamentary meetings on TV channel “Rada” was discontinued. In this regard, the media were forced to seek information about the work of parliament through several deputies who reported on the decisions made.
