The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Russian troops have begun to increase their military presence in the border areas in the Seversky direction.

The Department noted that the enemy is increasing forces and activity near the border with the Sumy region.
«In the Seversky direction, the enemy is increasing its military presence in the border areas», — the message says.
In particular, the military clarified that the Russian occupiers are conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling populated areas from Russian territory, and increasing the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than 10 settlements were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Karpovichi and Progress in the Chernihiv region, as well as Chernetskoye, Yastrebshchyna and Ulanovo in the Sumy region.
