According to a message from the head of the Kharkov regional military administration Oleg Sinegubov, Russian troops in the Kharkov region are launching attacks in small groups in new directions in order to stretch defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Details are reported by URA-Inform, referring to the telethon.
“Our defenders are holding back enemy attacks in these directions. Recently, about 15 enemy attacks have been repulsed. The situation is quite tense, but our troops successfully repulse all enemy attacks. We see an increase in the gray zone and an expansion of the front line, as the enemy seeks to stretch our defensive positions, attacking in small groups in new directions. This is the Russian Federation’s plan,” — noted Sinegubov.
He emphasized that the situation remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, despite its complexity.
Sinegubov also clarified that the evacuation of residents in dangerous directions continues. Recently, 5,700 people have already been evacuated, and today it is planned to evacuate another 1,600.
“We have just completed a meeting of the Regional Defense Council, where the issues of forced evacuation of orphans and children deprived of parental care were discussed. Currently their number is about 25 people. They live in Chuguevsky, Kharkovsky, Kupyansky and Izyumsky districts,” — he added.
It is worth noting that last week the Russian military crossed the border in the north of the Kharkov region and captured several settlements. Several more settlements are in the “gray” zone. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine admits that the enemy has achieved a tactical advantage, but Ukraine is able to stabilize the situation.
Some military experts They declare that the Russian Federation has enough strength to carry out an attack on the Sumy region. However, in this case it is not yet known whether the Russian Federation will follow this scenario.
Recall that weather forecasters warned part of Ukraine about the cold: the date for the return of real warmth is known.
