«We want to offer assistance to those who, for example, seek to return home for health reasons or family reasons. This assistance will mainly consist of purchasing tickets, and in some particularly serious cases, for example, providing emergency assistance,” explained Czech Interior Minister Vit Rakušan.
It is noted that the program will last six months, from June to November 2024. The Czech Ministry clarified that it is designed for a maximum of 430 people. Of these, 400 will receive bus tickets, the rest will be provided with individual assistance for their return.
At the same time, the department especially emphasized that the project «has nothing to do with the conscription of Ukrainians for military service». At the same time, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipovsky recently stated that the country does not support those Ukrainian men who are trying to avoid military conscription.
