A veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, who took part in the ATO and defended the country during the full-scale invasion, Dmitry Ivich Verbich, told what, in his opinion, should be done with draft dodgers.
This information was reported by Online.UA, as reported by URA-Inform.
In particular, he believes that it is better to let go of those who do not want to defend their homeland.
“Open the borders for a month. Say: whoever does not accept this reality, you have a month to sell everything, in a month we will close the borders. Maybe it would be easier for us that way,” the veteran said.
According to Dmitry Verbich, it will be difficult for veterans and draft dodgers to coexist in society in the future.
“Some of them have already arranged their lives there (abroad, ed.), and they are unlikely to return. Some who have not arranged their lives, they may return someday, during some kind of freeze, but these are people with whom we will have to somehow communicate, go for coffee nearby, run into at work. These are some of your former classmates, neighbors. These are the types who… When you were driving in that direction, they were stuck in traffic jams on the way out. And all this time, some of them were helping, and some… This is not about them at all. They have donated 50 hryvnia for these almost three years. I don't want them to come back, I think we can do without them somehow, – the veteran explained his position.
Recall that earlier it was reported that it became known from which country they may start returning Ukrainian men.
