War in Ukrainian state has led to unexpected and alarming social consequences, among which the so-called “love crisis” stands out.
This was reported by The New York Times, as reported by URA-Inform.
It is noted that in the country's major cities the number of men has noticeably decreased, and in some rural areas they have practically disappeared due to mass mobilization.
Shortage of men in cities and villages
The war has brought about major changes in the demographic landscape of Ukraine. The mobilization of men to participate in military operations has led to a significant reduction in their numbers in everyday life in cities and villages. Women left without male support face serious difficulties in finding a partner, which increases feelings of loneliness and social tension.
Impact on personal relationships
Building long-term relationships is also at risk. The stress and trauma soldiers experience at the front have a negative impact on their personal lives. Returning home, they often fail to establish stable and healthy relationships. Women, in turn, are afraid to start relationships with military personnel, fearing to lose them due to injuries or death at the front.
Social and psychological consequences
Social experts emphasize that the current “love crisis” in Ukraine is a serious problem that requires attention and solutions. Broken families and unstable relationships add another layer of suffering to the already difficult situation in the country. Psychologists note that loneliness and lack of partners can lead to depression and other mental disorders, which only worsens the overall picture of the crisis.
Women's safety issues
In addition to emotional and psychological difficulties, women face safety issues. The absence of men in rural areas makes women and children more vulnerable to various threats, including criminal activity and social instability.
