The head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Serhiy Rebrov, is ready to leave his post if his work does not satisfy the Ukrainian Football Association. At the same time, the specialist's contract was signed for three years.
Rebrov reported this information on the YouTube channel of the Ukrainian Football Association, reports “URA-Inform”.
“If the executive committee has questions for me about the institute of national teams, then I always support them, help them as needed. But I can't evaluate myself. In general, I think that we should all respect the work of the coach. If you count how many days, not even weeks, I spent, if you don't count this month at the Euro, then this year we worked together for less than a month,” said Rebrov.
The head coach of the national team emphasized that if you look at the experience of the leading European teams, then no one signs a coach for one year, «because it is too little for the players to even understand your ideas».
«There are a lot of players who come from other teams, their style of play, these teams, can be different. And it takes time for the players to at least understand the requirements. And practice is needed, games are needed. Now a year has passed. I agreed to sign a contract for three years — for two qualifying rounds. If I do not satisfy someone now, I am ready to leave. But, I think that there was little time», — added Sergey Rebrov.
