Denis Yaroslavsky, commander of a unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, expressed confidence that recruiting without the participation of territorial recruitment centers is a significant improvement in the process of mobilization.
He made such a statement on the air of «Novin Factory» on YouTube, reports URA-Inform.
Yaroslavsky noted that the current mobilization system, managed by the TCC, often sends people with antisocial behavior and serious health problems to the front. This is done in order to solve the problem of personnel shortages, but it leads to the fact that unsuitable and incapable people end up on the front lines.
With the transition to a system where combat units conduct their own recruitment, a significant improvement in the quality of those mobilized is expected. “This is very cool news,” Yaroslavsky emphasized. He explained that many brigades have long been practicing independent recruitment, although this was unofficial and not in all units.
He cited the Third Assault Brigade as an example of successful independent recruitment, which he said had a “very cool” approach to recruiting new fighters. Other brigades have also begun to understand the benefits of this approach, noting that the TCC often sends unsuitable people – alcoholics, fugitives, or those who do not meet medical requirements.
Previously, if a brigade found a suitable recruit, he still had to go through the TCC for official mobilization, which created an extra bureaucratic circle. Now that brigades will be able to fully control the recruiting process, this will significantly simplify and speed up mobilization.
«We did the same ourselves, we just created an extra unnecessary circle through the TCC. Now this link has been removed, and everything has become simpler,” Yaroslavsky explained.
