Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak noted that the invitation to the second Peace Summit of a representative of the Russian Federation, who will be given a developed plan for moving towards peace, should not be interpreted as the beginning of negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
Yermak reported this information in an interview with “European Pravda”, “URA-Inform” reports.
He noted that the participation of a representative of Russia is indeed possible at the next Peace Summit, to whom Ukraine and other participants in the meeting will give an agreed joint plan for the implementation of each of the 10 points of the “Formula of Peace”.
«But this does not mean the beginning of negotiations with Russia. No, that is not what we are talking about! We want even such a meeting, at which this plan can be presented, to take place not in the Ukraine & Russia format, but in the presence of all the countries that supported our plan,— he explained.
Yermak was asked whether Russian dictator Vladimir Putin could be the representative of Russia with whom Ukraine is ready to meet.
«I think it is too early to talk about who could be from them,— the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine responded.
After clarifying whether this meant that there was no longer a categorical denial of the possibility of contact with Putin, Andriy Yermak said that this answer should not be given by him, but by the decision of the National Security and Defense Council.
Recall that it was previously reported how Budanov sees victory in the war: the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense explained his position.
