The Ukrainian analytical project DeepState reported on the current successes of the Ukrainian military in the Kursk region, as well as on the advancement of Russian forces in the Donbass.
On the night of August 20, DeepState published data that Russian troops were able to occupy a number of settlements in eastern Ukraine, while Ukrainian forces achieved success on Russian territory. Details are reported by URA-Inform.
According to DeepState, Russian troops have occupied the Ukrainian settlements of Mezhevoye, Skuchnoye, and Zhuravka, and have also managed to advance in the areas near Grodovka and Zavetnoye. At the same time, fierce fighting continues for the village of New York, which has become one of the key points of confrontation in the Donbas.
However, against the backdrop of these events, the Ukrainian army is also demonstrating activity on another front. It is reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have managed to advance in the area of the village of Martynovka, located in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. This success indicates the expansion of the zone of Ukrainian influence on Russian territory, although other data on battles in the Kursk region has not yet been received.
These reports highlight the complexity and multi-layered nature of the current military situation, where successes and defeats of the parties are occurring simultaneously in different directions. DeepState estimates indicate that both sides continue active military operations, seeking to strengthen their positions in key regions of the conflict.
Against this background, it is worth noting that Zelensky is asking the West to speed up aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces: the Ukrainian leader admitted what is happening.
