As reported by Dmitry Likhovoy, a representative of the Operational Group of Forces “Tavria”, for the last three days on the Zaporizhzhya Front there has been an unexpected silence – not a single assault by Russian troops.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with link to “RBC-Ukraine”.
It is noted that such behavior of the occupiers has surprised the Ukrainian military, who consider this silence an anomaly in the context of the current conflict. This fact is especially noteworthy given the intensity of hostilities characteristic of this region.
«The Zaporizhzhya Front is undergoing obvious changes. Russian troops are showing unexpected passivity, although their presence in this area remains obvious,» Likhovoy said.
He also stressed that Ukrainian forces continue to closely monitor the situation, since such a sharp decrease in enemy activity is a legitimate concern.
Against the backdrop of this mysterious silence in the Zaporizhia direction, a certain level of activity on the part of Russian troops is observed in the Dnieper sector of the front. They continue to try to displace Ukrainian units from the bridgeheads they have occupied on the left bank of the Dnieper.
However, as Likhovoy noted, all enemy attempts in the area of the village of Krynki have been unsuccessful, and Ukrainian forces are confidently holding their positions.
Likhovoy also warned that the current lull on the Zaporizhia front should not be associated with major military operations such as the Battle of Kursk. According to him, Russia does not have sufficient resources to simultaneously conduct large-scale offensive operations on several fronts.
Against this backdrop, it is noteworthy that Lavrov raised the issue of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
