Ukraine has real chances of becoming a member of the European Union by the end of the current decade or early next.
This was announced by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in an interview for Espresso. URA-Inform reports.
Sikorski stressed that the duration of Ukraine's path to the EU will depend on several key factors. First of all, much depends on how the situation at the front develops, since military actions affect the country's economic and budgetary capabilities.

Sikorsky also expressed confidence that Ukraine will become a significant player in the economy of the European Union and will take a significant number of seats in the European Parliament and the Council Europe.
“Under the influence of Ukraine, the European Union will also change,” the Polish minister noted, implying that Ukraine's accession could have a significant impact on the development and policies of the entire union.
