Ukraine is expecting mostly dry and hot weather, but there is an important nuance in the form of strong wind. No precipitation is expected in the country, with the exception of the southern and southeastern regions, where short-term rains and thunderstorms are possible.
URA-Inform reports on how the weather will change with the arrival of autumn, citing the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
Forecasters predict dry weather almost throughout the entire territory of Ukraine for the next three days. Only local short-term rains and thunderstorms are possible today in the south and on September 2 in the southeastern regions. Night temperatures will fluctuate from +15° to +20°, and in the south – up to +23°. Daytime temperatures throughout the country will remain in the range of +26° to +33°. The wind is expected mainly from the north-east and east, with a speed of 5-10 m/s. Today, on the last day of summer, gusts of wind in some places will reach 15-20 m/s.
Forecaster Igor Kibalchich confirms that the weekend in most regions will be influenced by hot and dry weather. He explained that this type of weather is due to a stable east wind, which brings warm and dry air from the central regions of Asia. The weather conditions in Ukraine are also affected by a sedentary high pressure system over Eastern Europe, which maintains a dry atmosphere and high temperatures.
Overall, the temperature background will remain at a level exceeding the climatic norm by 5-8 degrees, which will make these days especially hot for the beginning of autumn.
It is also worth noting that Ukrainians were warned about a prolonged heat wave.
