September will bring pension increases to some Ukrainian pensioners thanks to special supplements that depend on age and other factors. These supplements are automatically assigned by the Pension Fund of Ukraine and can significantly support older people, especially those who have moved to a new age category.
URA-Inform reports on pensions in Ukraine, citing the PFU website.
In September, those pensioners who have reached the new age threshold will receive supplements. Currently, the amount of the age supplement is distributed as follows:
— Pensioners aged 70 to 74 receive an additional 300 hryvnia.
— Those who have reached 75-79 years of age receive a supplement of 456 hryvnia.
— Senior citizens aged 80 and above receive an additional 570 hryvnia.
Thus, pensioners who turned 75 or 80 in September will automatically receive a corresponding increase in payments.
The age supplement is provided to pensioners if the following conditions are met:
1. The pensioner receives an old-age pension.
2. Has reached the age of 70 or older.
3. The total amount of his pension payment is less than 10,340.35 hryvnia.
It is worth noting that the appointment of such a supplement occurs automatically. Pensioners who meet all the specified criteria do not need to submit additional applications or collect documents – the Pension Fund of Ukraine recalculates the supplements independently.
Thus, in September, an increase in pension payments is expected for certain categories of pensioners, which will partially compensate for inflation and improve the standard of living of elderly citizens of Ukraine.
