The situation at the front in eastern Ukraine remains tense, and the Russian Federation's forces are barely coping with the tasks that the war poses for them. In particular, former Soviet intelligence officer Sergei Zhirnov noted that Russia does not have the physical capacity to displace the Ukrainian army from the Kursk region.
