Starting soon in Ukraine heating season, which is expected to be particularly difficult. Ukrainians need to prepare for this difficult time.
As reported by URA-Inform, Kyivteploenergo specialists offer several recommendations for effective preparation.
The main task is to reduce heat loss in the home. To do this, it is recommended to carry out preventive maintenance of metal-plastic windows and update the seals on windows and doors to avoid drafts. It is also worth allocating one room for heating in case of an emergency. Do not forget to check the condition of sockets, wiring and electrical appliances. If your home has individual heating, have the boiler serviced.
It is important to move furniture away from the radiators, gather curtains and install a heat-reflecting screen on the wall behind the radiators. Check underfloor heating, heaters and air conditioners. It is recommended to team up with your neighbors to insulate your entrance and home — pipelines should be insulated, and windows and doors should close tightly.
“Prepare a plan and discuss joint actions with relatives and neighbors in case of unforeseen situations,” experts advise .
