Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continues his visit to the United States, where he emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in the defense sector. One of the key moments at the beginning of his visit was a visit to a plant in Scranton, Pennsylvania, which produces artillery shells for the Ukrainian army.
This was reported by URA-Inform, citing Zelensky's page on H.
Zelensky noted that the plant produces 155 mm shells that are sent to Ukraine to support the country's defense.
“Scranton, Pennsylvania is a place where you feel like democracy can win because of businesses like this and people who work to protect life,” the president emphasized, expressing gratitude to all the plant's employees.
He also announced the plant's plans to increase the production of ammunition for Ukraine's needs, which is an important step to further strengthen Ukraine's defense capability.
The agenda of the trip also includes many important meetings and events. The President will address the UN General Assembly, hold talks with leaders of US defense and energy companies, and meet with the Ukrainian diaspora and representatives of the US Congress. The visit will also include meetings with US President Joe Biden, as well as with presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. In addition, Zelensky will discuss key issues with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
Thus, the visit of the President of Ukraine to the United States serves as an important stage in deepening international support for Ukraine, both at the military and diplomatic levels.
