Military expert Andrey Ryzhenko believes that the capture of the city of Ugledar will not bring Russia a strategic advantage.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Unian.
«It's bad that we are losing Ukrainian territory, because it is also a demoralizing factor. But from the point of view of gaining some serious military advantages &# 8212; operational or strategic, then this will probably not give the enemy anything,” he said.
At the same time, Ryzhenko noted that the purpose of the attack on this city for the enemy occupation forces was weakening the “line of communication” between Zaporozhye and the Dnieper.
«Currently, the efforts of the Russian occupation forces are directed “exactly on two regional centers – Zaporozhye and Dnepr,” the expert emphasized.
According to him, the Russian occupiers want to keep both cities under constant fire control as much as possible, exerting psychological pressure on the local population by shelling and trying to block the logistical supply routes of the Defense Forces.
An expert explained why the West is in no hurry to help Ukraine win, pointing out an important point.
