Thursday, On October 3, high levels of air pollution were recorded in Kyiv.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the press service of the Kyiv State City Administration.
According to the press service of the Kyiv State City Administration, an increase in the concentration of suspended particles (dust) was detected in the air above the capital. The reason is fires in the ecosystems of the Kyiv region and transboundary influence.
Thus, according to the Kyiv City State Administration, at the beginning of this month, dust from the Caspian Lowland was predicted to enter the territory of the Kyiv region.
To improve the air quality situation in Kyiv City State Administration, Kyiv residents are advised to:
— close the windows;
— limit time spent outdoors;
— drink plenty of water;
— if you have an air purifier, turn it on to maximum.
According to data from stationary air monitoring points on the right bank of Kyiv:
28 Turovskaya St., general air quality index – 80 (high pollution level);
Shchuseva St., 20 – 92 (high pollution level);
European Union Ave., 64-G – 82 (high pollution level);
Beresteisky Ave., 97 – 86 (high pollution level);
Kitayevskaya St., 22 – 77 (high pollution level).
In particular, on the left bank of Kyiv:
Kharkivske Shose St., 7/1, general air quality index – 88 (high pollution level).
Architect Verbitsky, 26 – 85 (high pollution level).
