Ukrainian coach Yuriy Vernidub, who heads the Kryvbas football club, has been serving in the Kryvyi Rih Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center since the summer of 2022.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Fckryvbas.
“I joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 27. I returned on the 26th, and on the 27th I was already in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in Zaporizhia. Now I am also in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but back in 2022, in mid-June, I was transferred to the Kryvyi Rih TRC SP and I am there to this day,” Vernidub said.
He noted that along with this, he was given the opportunity to work as the head coach of Kryvbas.
“In this position, I can be of great benefit to our country. I have already given more than a hundred interviews to both Ukrainian and international publications. We performed in Europe, where we reminded everyone that the war in Ukraine is ongoing and that we need support in order to defeat this disease called Russia,” said Yuriy Vernidub.
It is worth noting that before the start of the full-scale war, 58-year-old Vernidub worked as the head coach of Moldova's Sheriff. After the full-scale invasion, the specialist volunteered to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and on June 21, 2022, he headed Kryvbas.
